Decoration, construction and branding
Choose decoration by what the artwork has to do
The right method depends on the artwork, the fabric and the size it sits at. Use this as a starting point. We confirm what suits your project on a sample.
| Method | Consider it when | Send us | Check on the sample |
|---|---|---|---|
| Screen printing | The artwork has solid shapes and a limited number of colours. | Final artwork, print size and colour references. | Colour, placement and how the print feels on the fabric. |
| DTF | The artwork has many colours, gradients or fine detail. | Final-size artwork and the fabric direction. | Surface, flexibility and the edge of the transfer. |
| Puff printing | You want shapes to lift off the fabric. | Shapes, spacing and how raised you want it. | How much it lifts, and whether fine areas hold. |
| Embroidery | You want thread texture on a small or simple mark. | Artwork at real size and the fabric direction. | Detail, puckering and the reverse of the fabric. |
| Appliqué | You want a large shape with a fabric contrast. | Shape, fabric direction and edge finish. | Attachment, edges and how the area drapes. |
| Labels and packaging | The brand should carry through inside the garment and on delivery. | Label artwork, sizes, placement and packing needs. | Placement, finish and presentation. Costs and minimums are quoted for the project. |
Shape comes first
Pattern making and grading turn a fit direction into a specification. Settle the shoulder, body, sleeves and openings before you fix where the artwork sits, because moving them moves everything printed on them.
Cutting, sewing and finishing happen in our factory. Decoration methods are available and approved on your sample.
Compare fits by garmentA mockup can’t show this
A digital mockup shows direction. It can’t show surface texture, how a print sits on a seam or how decoration changes the way fabric hangs. Those are judged on a sample, on the fabric you will actually use.
How sampling worksTell us what you want to make
A tech pack helps, but it isn’t required. Clear references or a garment to measure are enough to start.
